Centre

"Gramofonat" in Burgas, 53 Aleko Bogoridi Blvd., is an iconic city sculpture and a popular tourist attraction in the city center.

Description

"Gramofonat" (The Gramophone) is one of Burgas's iconic city landmarks, located at 53 Aleko Bogoridi Blvd., in the heart of the central pedestrian zone. The metal sculpture is the work of artist Rusi Stoyanov and has become a recognizable symbol of the city. The attraction is a large decorative gramophone, about two meters high, which draws the attention of passersby, both locals and tourists. A popular urban legend surrounds it – according to it, if you turn the crank and listen carefully, you can hear the name of the person who is in love with you. "Gramofonat" is a curious stop during a walk along Aleko Bogoridi Blvd. and a suitable place for photos and a short rest. The space around the sculpture periodically transforms into a stage for cultural initiatives, children's festivals, musical, theatrical, and literary events.
