Burgas Aviation Museum

The Burgas Aviation Museum at the entrance of Burgas Airport features 10 aircraft exhibits, an interactive exhibition, and the history of Bulgarian aviation.

The Burgas Aviation Museum is located at the entrance of Burgas Airport, in the Sarafovo district, and is an interesting tourist attraction for aviation, history, and technology enthusiasts. The museum opened its doors in 2017, succeeding the first aviation exhibition in Burgas, which was created in 1998. The exhibition features 10 real aircraft exhibits, including a Tu-154, An-12, An-24, An-2, An-14, MiG-17, MiG-21, L-29, Mi-2, and Ka-26. Visitors can get a close look at various representatives of civil and military aviation and learn more about their history and purpose. Among the interesting highlights is the interactive exhibition 'Homo Volans – The Flying Man,' located inside an An-12 aircraft. It includes authentic aviation items, models, costumes, archival materials, and interactive installations. Virtual reality experiences are also offered, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the role of a pilot. The Burgas Aviation Museum is suitable for family visits, tourists, and anyone who wants to touch the history of aviation and see real airplanes up close.
